Hosting plans revised
RSHosting sheds its skin with introducing new features, increasing hosting resources limits, enhancing support with live chat, etc..
1) Disk space and Bandwidth increase for both US and UK reseller plans:
Disk space increased by 100%:
We have considered this requirement on the highest priority as I had already come across many clients who always claim that when it comes to resources RSHosting is quite expensive as compared to other hosting companies.
I am sure after receiving our excellent services and 10 min guaranteed support, people who know the term “quality service”, will not mind paying for the top notch service they receive.
But when I try to step into your shoes as a client, I would be happy if RSHosting would offer more disk space and bandwidth with the existing price structure. Hence, we have decided to increase the disk space limits for all the US and UK plans by 100%.
There won’t be any change in the existing prices, instead the disk space limits for the reseller plans will be doubled from their existing respective limits.
Bandwidth increase:
With the increase in disk space as mentioned above, we have also decided to increase the Monthly transfer limit (bandwidth) by 10 GB for the respective reseller plan as listed on http://rshosting.com/plans/
This applies for both US and UK reseller plans and the clients hosted on them.
Hence the new plans for US and UK servers with effective from April 1st, 2007 would be:

Disk space: 8GB
Monthly transfer: 75GB
Maximum cPanel accounts: 100
Monthly charge for UK servers: £50
Monthly charge for US servers: $50

Monthly transfer: 90GB
Maximum cPanel accounts: 120

Q. How do I have disk space and bandwidth increased to new limits?
The procedure to avail the above increased disk space and bandwidth limit is simple. You just need to open a ticket on our helpdesk at http://rshosting.com/support and let us know your main reseller domain and the server it is hosted on.
As the resources increase is server wide for all clients, it might take us 24 - 72 hours for us to process your request. We would be grateful for your patience during this time.

2) PHP5 and Ruby on Rails support available:
As per the recent poll, we observed PHP5 and Ruby on Rails to be the most awaited feature by the existing RSHosting clients. Hence we have installed PHP5 and Ruby on Rails on one of the US and UK servers.
If you wish to move a particular account from your reseller account to the server with PHP5 and Ruby on Rails support, you will need to open a ticket with us at http://rshosting.com/support.
We will then move the requested account to different server with php5 or ruby on rails support. The account migration process will not need any change w.r.t the nameservers and won’t experience any downtime during the migration process.
There won’t be any additional cost to avail the php5 and ruby on rails support for a limited number of accounts under your respective reseller account.
But if you wish to avail the php5 and ruby on rails support for your entire reseller account and all the accounts under it, there will be a nominal one time charge of $10 for US server clients and £10 for UK server clients. This process will need migration of all your accounts to the respective US or UK servers and you will need to change the nameserver IP’s in this case. Downtime may vary w.r.t to the nameserver IP propagation in this case.
Considering the number of requests that we expect to avail php5 and ruby on rails support, we will be processing them one by one and will inform you in your ticket about the approximate time when the features will be enabled. We hope you to be patient in this migration process.

We have introduced remote backup services based on rsync technology for all servers.
Rsync greatly improves efficiency when compared to traditional remote backup methods. By synchronizing only those files that have changed since the last backup, using rsync results in large bandwidth savings. When combined with on-the-fly compression, performing daily rsync backup can result in less data transfer than it would take to perform two backups using the .tar.gz method in a given month.

As a primary stage we have introduced this feature for Sales and Billing support for limited 9hr shift. But soon we will be offering 24/7 technical and sales live chat and cover it 365 days a year.

5) Free Enom Reseller accounts:
We are now offering FREE Enom reseller accounts to all our existing resellers and the new signups. You will get a life time Enom reseller account with the help of which you will be able to sell your customers domains, transfer domains, and even setup a whois form to run off your site allowing for real time whois checks to see if the domain is available.
Your price on domains will be $7.95 a year.
Opening an Enom account from Enom.com would charge you $500 as startup fee, and your rate for domains would be $8.95 a year.
But we have now started offering one Enom reseller account per reseller client on RSHosting.com for free!!
You can also keep the Enom reseller account with you, should decide to leave our hosting.
